Bachelor of Arts in Tamil is a three year undergraduate Programme. The programme focuses on developing a better perspective for students through the study of literature. As the curriculum has been developed in a multi-faceted approach to Tamil, the students will be able to learn about the literature of the Sangam period to contemporary period.

This course helps the students to gain knowledge and expertise in Tamil grammar. They acquire knowledge about media industry and publishing industry by studying undergraduate Tamil. Students who have knowledge of literature and grammar in Tamil face competitive exams easily.

Students will get opportunities to work well in various fields like Teacher, Poet, Writer, Archaeologist, Translator, Journalist, Newsreader and Anchor.

Eligibility: A pass in the Higher Secondary Examinations (Academic or Vocational Stream).
