5th Graduation Day - 2019

PERI Institute of Technology celebrated its 5th Graduation day on 19thMay 2019 at the campus. The convocation begun with the academic procession of the dignitaries.The Chief Guest for the Convocation was Dr.J.Kumar , Registrar i/c,& Professor, Crystal Growth Centre Anna University. The chief guest, Chairman Mr. Saravanan Periyasami, Principal of the Institution Dr. Palson Kennedy, Heads of various departments were accompanied with a band into the venue of the ceremony.

The dignitaries graced the dais and after the invocation song and lighting the lamp, the Chairman of the Institution Mr. Saravanan Periyasami declared the Graduation Day open.

The Principal welcomed all the dignitaries, invitees, parents, faculty and the graduands. In his welcome speech, the Principal elaborated the Annual Report of the college and proposed the Oath to 2 Post-graduates&330 Undergraduates. He also spoke about the academic reforms of the college, MOUs signed, Faculty Awards, Research and Consultancy, Alumni Association, Industry Institute Interface Cell, Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Achievements by Students, PMKVY Skill Development Courses.

He congratulated all the Graduands and wished them all the best for the future and success in all their endeavours.

The graduands and the audience were then enthralled by the rousing speech of the Chief Guest. In his graduation day address, he congratulated all the graduands for their efforts they have put-in to come to the stage. He pointed out about the inventor of first electric motor. G D Naidu that Life Skills and Innovative Technologies are the two important aspects that will take them to the peak of successful professionalism, irrespective of the domain they choose.

He wished the graduands by quoting “REACH FOR THE STARS, SPREAD YOUR WINGS AND FLY. YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU CAN DO UNTIL YOU TRY”.

He also added according to Albert Einstein “Being Genius is one percent Talent and ninety-nine percent hard work”. So do not be upset if you are not a born genius or a prodigy, there can be no replacement for hard work.

The University Rank Holders and toppers received cash awards, scintillating medals and certificate from the Chief Guest.

  • Believe in yourself.
  • Believe in our country, Believe in your future.
  • Pursue your passion and there is no way you can go wrong. Be updated.
  • Yearn to learn.
  • Develop people skills.
  • Be honest and compassionate.
  • You can reach the pinnacle and achieve much more and above all.

Be happy is the mantra, which I would like to conclude with, because without the happiness in yourself, you can never accomplish and so, be happy and pledge to keep yourself happy.

It is followed by the distribution of degree certificates by the guest of honor to the graduands. The Head of the Department read out the names of the graduands of their respective departments. In the graduation ceremony 233 graduands from various departments received their degrees. The principal then administered the pledge and dissolved the graduation day ceremony which is followed by a national anthem.
