PERI College of Pharmacy cordially organized and conducted a RALLY on 26th Sept 2022 on the occasion World Pharmacist Day. It was organized by Dr. P.Valentina, Principal, PERI College of Pharmacy and co-ordinated by Dr. K.Karthik, Assistant Professor, Peri College of Pharmacy. Dr. Palson Kennedy, Principal, PERI Institute of Technology and Dr. P.Valentina inaugurated the rally.

The rally started from PERI Knowledge Park to Mannivakkam Bus stand. Around 55 students of I year B.Pharm took part in the rally. Students started spreading their enthusiasm right from 10am to 11 am.Participation of Dr.Sonja Jose and Mrs.W.Anitha, faculties of PERI College of Pharmacy made the students more exhilarated. They conveyed the message by holding banners and placards. Two police officials from Ooteri police station has been provided for security purpose.

The objective of Rally is to make people know about the importance of pharmacist and awareness of medicines and their side effects .Students hold the banners with the slogan written as “Pharmacist are trusted source of knowledge, advice and help”,”We gameup your life to learn how to save yours”. Banners also displayed some of the side effects of drugs which happens without taking the advise of a registered medical practitioner.

They educated the women about the adverse effect of medicines taken without the prescription during their pregnancy or lactating period.

The Students properly used their skills and knowledge to interact with people. By this way they succeeded in bridging the gap between society and youth. People in and around the place came forward and started to listen the slogans and clarified their doubts.By seeing this we breathe a sigh of relief and were satisfied with our hard work and it came fruitful. This experience boosted our confidence and encouraged the students.
The students returned back to PERI Knowledge park around 11 a.m. This Rally ended with inspirational speech by Dr.P. Valentina, Principal, PERI College of Pharmacy.She insisted the students to dream high and achieve them in right way. She thanked all the students and faculties having participated and coordinated.
