Association Inaugural Program (PACE)
The Faculty and students of Civil Engineering Department, PERI Institute of Technology organized the PACE – PERI Association of Civil Engineers Inaugural Function on July 13th, 2017. The inaugural function commenced with invocation and lighting of kuthuvillakku. Ar.S.RAMAN, Assistant Professor, Mohammed Sathak AJ Academy of Architecture, Chennai was the Chief Guest of the Association Inaugural Function.

Mr. Arun Kumar M, 3rd year Civil Student of PERI Association of Civil Engineers Association, gave the welcome Address. He gave a warm welcome to the honorable Chief Guest Ar. S. Raman, Mr. Saravanan Periasamy, Chairman, PERIIT, Mr. Sasi Veerarajan, COO, Dr. R. Palson Kennedy, Principal and our HOD, Mr. B. Magesh and other Professors, Faculties, and all the students.

A memento was presented to the Chief Guest by Dr. PALSON KENNEDY, Principal PERIIT. His speech includes valuable points includes that “Seven Wonders of world created by Civil Engineers and Recent development on Construction Materials”.
Mr. Tharun Kumar P, final year Civil Student introduced our Chief Guest. Invited on the stage to give the inaugural address and stated about association that, “PACE association fills the gap between student’s academic knowledge and practical implementation. “It is not about ideas, it’s about making ideas happen” it is nurture for our future. He also briefed about the PACE association.

Mrs.K.S.Binitha, Assistant Professor gave a brief speech about “Green Technology and Sustainable Development” which creates awareness among the students towards making Green India. “Sustainable Development is the Peace Policy of the Future” it is nurture for our future. He also briefed about the SDS Cell.

The Department of Civil Engineering is associated with PERI Association of Civil Engineers (PACE) Conducted three days national level workshop on Planning Analyzing Designing of Structures on (13.07.2017 to 15.07.2017). Workshop on Planning Analysis and Design of Structures strives to focus on covering the basics of Planning, Analyzing and designing the structures using software packages such us Auto CADD and STADD pro.
The aim of the workshop is to provide opportunities for faculties, Research Scholars and students from various backgrounds to gain knowledge in Planning and Design of Various Structures. This program focus on the objective of
The workshop began with an introduction talk and presentation by Ar. S. RAMAN, M.Arch., Assistant Professor, on Start with Architectural Aspects. Topics such as introduction to Architecture, Aesthetic Appearance of Buildings, and Construction Documentations.

The Second Session of the workshop began with a foundation setting and column marking Training by Er.Augustine Abraham, CEO of Space CADD Designers & Construction. He delivered an excellent presentation about Foundation Marking, Column Spacing and Positioning. It was a session well spent, discovering and learning about Structural Elements.

The Second & Third Day Session workshop began with Design Software learning (STAAD Pro.) by Er. G. Gnanasekaran, Senior Design Engineer, Roshmo Engineering Innovation Pvt. Ltd. He delivered a fabulous presentation about basic principles of Structural Design, Modeling and Analysis. It was a session well spent, discovering and learning about Detailing of Structural Elements.
