Report on one day National level Technical Students Symposium PERCIV" 18

PERCIV ’18 is the honorable National Level Technical Symposium organized by the students of Department of Civil Engineering on 15th September 2018. The purpose of this symposium is to provide a platform for the students to share their knowledge, ideas and experience in Civil Engineering. Besides that, the meeting of young minds can enhance networking and collaboration among students.

Dr.Palson Kennedy, Principal, Peri Institute of Technology welcomed the gathering. He gave a warm welcome to the honorable Chief Guest Dr. Ravi, Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai, Heads of various Departments, coordinators of the event, Faculties and all the students.

Dr. R. Palson Kenedy, Prinicipal PERI Institute of Technology felicitated the Chief Guest Dr. Ravi.

Mr. B. Magesh Head, Department of Civil Engineering, PERI Institute of Technology felicitated our Department Association Coordinator Dr. R. Rajeshguna.

PERCIV’18 has covered various technical events such as Paper presentation, Poster presentation, Technical Quiz, Model making, Slumper and Crack the cause and non technical events such as connections, Momo challenge, Yard Cricket, etc. Students from around 25 various Engineering Colleges such as Easwari Engineering College, B.S.Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology, K.C.G. College of Technology, Panimalar Engineering College participated in the symposium. Almost 100 students registered for various Technical and Non Technical events.

Papers under the various titles such as Laboratory study on the strength Development of High early strength PPC by using Cement grinding additive by Vijayalakshmi. B and Karthikeyan of Tagore Engineering College, Chennai, U- boot Beton by Ghowtham.S and Kiranraj.R of K.C.G. College of Technology, Evaluation of mechanical characteristics and cost comparison of bricks by Sanjay of Chennai Institute of Technology, Air quality management- AHealthy Environment, Smart materials and Structures by Sathish, Dhaanish Ahmed College of Engineering and Fixing cracks in concrete were presented in the technical event.

The winners of various technical and non technical events were awarded Certificate with cash awards.
