4th Graduation Day - 2018

PERI Institute of Technology celebrated its 4th Graduation day on 9th September 2018 at the campus. The convocation begun with the academic procession of the dignitaries. The Chief Guest for the Convocation was Dr.T.Thyagarajan, Director of University–Industry Interaction cell, Anna University. The chief guest, Chairman Mr. Saravanan Periyasami, Principal of the Institution Dr. Palson Kennedy, Heads of various departments were accompanied by a band into the venue of the ceremony.

The dignitaries graced the dais and after the invocation song and lighting the lamp, the Chairman of the Institution Mr. Saravanan Periyasami declared the Graduation Day open.

Mr. Rathinavel Rajan gave his inaugural address. He advised the students to go in the right way to make the life success. He advised the students by expanding PERI as

The Principal welcomed all the dignitaries, invitees, parents, faculty and the graduands. In his welcome speech, the Principal elaborated the Annual Report of the college and proposed the Oath to the 12 Post-graduates& 251 Undergraduates. He also spoke about the academic reforms of the college, MOUs signed, Faculty Awards, Research and Consultancy, Alumni Association, Industry Institute Interface Cell, Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Achievements of Students, PMKVY Skill Development Courses.

He congratulated all the Graduands and wished them all the best for the future and success in all their endeavours.

The graduands and the audience were then enthralled by the rousing speech of the Chief Guest. In his graduation day address, he congratulated all the graduands for their efforts they have put-in to come to the stage. He pointed out that Life Skills and Innovative Technologies are the two important aspects that will take them to the peak of successful professionalism, irrespective of the domain they choose.

He also shared the future areas that will pose challenges include: HACEE: H- Healthcare, A - Agriculture, C - Clean water, E - Energy and E - Environment.

In the IT field, it is SMAC: S - Social Media, M - Mobile Tech, A - Analytics and C - Cloud. To remain competitive and to grab the opportunities, he advised the graduands to embrace multidisciplinary approach. He also shared his views about the life skills and innovative technologies like Robotics, Virtual Reality, Autonomous Vehicle, Renewable Energy and Block chain Technology. He finally highlighted “It is not what we preach that makes us true professional, it is what we practice that makes us true professional”.

The University Rank Holders and toppers received cash awards, scintillating medals and certificate from the Chief Guest.

It is followed by the distribution of degree certificates by the guest of honor to the graduands. The Head of the Department reads out the names of the graduands of their respective departments. At the graduation ceremony 255 graduands from various departments received their degrees. The principal then administered the pledge and dissolved the graduation day ceremony, which is followed by a national anthem.
