PERI KARYOTEZ ‘19

“Always trust a microbiologist because they have the best chance of predicting when the world will end”

Department of Microbiology, PERIcollege of Arts and Science organized and inaugurated Microbiology Association - PERI KARYOTEZ ’19 on 11th of December. The association aims to cultivate research awareness among students and encourage the students to participate in various research activities. Students from Department of Microbiology joined the inauguration and the program commenced at 11 am. Guest of honour, Dr. S.Kanimozhi, Associate Professor and Head, PG and Research Department of Microbiology, Asan Memorial college of Arts and Science, and the Principal of PERIcollege of Arts and Science, Dr. A. Gunasekaran inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the kuththuvelakku.

The Principal of PERI college of Arts and Science, Dr. A. Gunasekaran presided over the function. He appreciated the Chairman, Mr. Saravanan Periyasamy and COO, Mr. Sasi Veerarajan for theirencouragement to organize the microbiology association for the welfare of the students.He felicitated the chief guest, Dr. S.Kanimozhi, Associate Professor and Head, PG and Research Department of Microbiology, Asan Memorial college of Arts and Science.

Following the presidential address, Ms. Santha, Assistant Professor, Department of Microbiology, PERI college of Arts and Science welcomed the gathering. A Special and warm welcomewas conveyed to the chief guest, Dr.S. Kanimozhi, for her presence. The student representatives were announcedfor the association of microbiology PERI KARYOTEZ’19.

Dr.S. Kanimozhi greeted the gathering and highlighted the importance of microbiology in her inaugural speech. She had enlightened the students by mentioning the carrier opportunities available in the field of microbiology. She also requested the students to actively participate in all the events of PERI KARYOTEZ ’19 and wished them all success.

The ceremony was concluded with vote of thanks by Ms. Santha. Heartfelt thanks extended to the Chairman, Mr. Saravanan Periyasamy and COO, Mr.Sasi Veerarajan, and the Principal, Dr. A. Gunasekaran. Specialthanks conveyed tothe guest of honor, Dr.S. Kanimozhi, who accepted to inaugurate the ceremony and graced the event. She also thanked her fellow faculties and the administrative staffs for the grand success of the event.
